This is a senior leadership role within Myob's Finance Operations team, offering an excellent opportunity to shape the department's growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance operations, preferably within the superannuation or financial services sectors.

The role involves overseeing and enhancing finance operations for Myob's superannuation business, with potential expansion to include finance operations for network partners, novated leasing, and other products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing short and long-term financial plans, identifying opportunities to improve operations, and reducing risk.
  • Influencing strategy, challenging expenditure appropriateness, and improving prioritisation of key initiatives.
  • Playing a key part in relationship and compliance management with external customers.
  • Strengthening and implementing finance operations processes and controls.
  • Handling contracts, ensuring all terms are met and maintained, including coordinating with legal and compliance teams for contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Providing impactful analysis and return on investment insights and recommendations.
  • Building performance dashboards, tracking goals, and progress on key initiatives.
  • Being responsible for data reconciliation processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Playing an integral role in the annual Financial Services & Benefits Budget and quarterly forecast.
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects, including financial modelling.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven experience in finance operations, preferably within superannuation or financial services.
  • An understanding of the software or technology industry, which would be preferred.
  • A dedicated and proactive attitude, ready to contribute to the team's success.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with and influence various individuals and groups.
  • Advanced problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate financial data to operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling.
  • Prior experience or use of Oracle PBCS and Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle BI, SQL queries) would be advantageous.
