Contract Administrator Job Opportunity

Inland Rail is seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Administrator to join our Brisbane-based team. This role will support the commercial delivery of complex construction and ancillary contracts.

Job Description:

This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact project, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to the future of freight transport across the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering contract documentation, progress claims, variations, and compliance across assigned project packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation and correspondence in line with Inland Rail standards.
  • Administer progress claims, payment certificates, and contract variations.
  • Support dispute resolution and liaise with Legal Counsel as required.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist with procurement processes and monthly reporting obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in contract administration within construction or infrastructure, a sound understanding of contract law and commercial principles, effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
