Job Title: Senior Mechanic
Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and build of our race cars, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
The role involves communicating with mechanics, managers, race engineers, and supporting departments to ensure the smooth operation of our racing program. This includes traveling with the team to races and tests, overseeing car performance, and ensuring all components of the car are safely joined, bolted, or otherwise secured.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and building race cars to meet strict technical specifications
- Overseeing car performance, safety, and reliability
- Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records of post-event teardown and event information
- Providing direction and mentorship to less experienced mechanics
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years' experience as a chief mechanic in high-level motorsport series (Indycar, Sports Cars, or F1)
- Recent experience in British GT or SRO-sanctioned events
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Professional level performance criteria
- Intimate knowledge of mechanical components, electronics, and structural framework of race cars
