Job Title: Master Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior mechanic to lead our GT racing car preparation and build process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical inspection, performance, safety, and reliability of race cars.
  • Communicate effectively with mechanics, managers, race engineers, and supporting departments to build high-performance race cars.
  • Travel with the team to races and tests to ensure the car is properly functioning.
  • Develop ideas to increase car performance, reliability, and pit-crew efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of post-event teardown and event information.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to less experienced mechanics.
  • Represent the team professionally on and off-track premises.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience as chief mechanic in Indycar, Sports Cars, or F1 series race cars.
  • Recent experience in British GT or SRO-sanctioned events is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all team members.
  • Meet professional level performance criteria to be a member of the pit crew.
  • Intimate knowledge of mechanical components, electronics, and structural framework of race cars.
  • Manual experience using lathe, mill, drill press, or band saw.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring devices.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
