Lead Financial Strategist Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to lead key financial functions, combining strategic management accounting expertise with operational oversight.

You will shape financial strategies, debt management, optimise processes and contribute to a high-performing, data-driven team focused on excellence and equity.

  • Monitor and report on divisional budget performance, contributing to business plans and budget submissions that align with departmental standards.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide valuable insights, streamline reporting and support decision-making.
  • Supervise and guide a professional team to deliver effective financial management, corporate compliance and operational support.
  • Provide clear and practical advice on corporate governance and financial systems, supporting continuous improvement and positive outcomes.
  • Oversee financial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Conduct analysis and prepare reports, briefings and submissions to highlight divisional trends and performance.
  • Lead the implementation and improvement of corporate systems, policies and procedures, ensuring smooth operations and quality outcomes.
  • Organise and deliver training and professional development sessions to build team capability and support governance standards.

Key Requirements

  • Over 5 years' experience in finance role.
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerBI skills.
  • Ability to lead performance strategies, budgets and reporting frameworks, driving financial success in complex organisational environments.
  • Able to deliver actionable insights through advanced problem-solving and critical analysis of complex financial challenges.
  • Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with expertise in managing dashboards, reporting and analytics to support decision making.
  • Communicate complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders, ensuring informed decisions at all levels.
  • Experience in government and commercial operations highly advantageous.
  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are highly regarded.
