We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader to join our team as Director, Financial Control and Compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall financial control, governance, and compliance strategies for our organization.

Job Description

The role involves providing strategic technical financial advice to senior business leaders, influencing policy stances across the sector, and collaborating with assurance functions and external bodies. You will lead teams, develop staff capabilities, and establish internal financial control frameworks for statutory obligations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage financial control, governance, and compliance strategies
  • Support statutory reporting obligations and ensure underlying transactions comply with relevant guidance
  • Provide strategic technical financial advice to senior business leaders
  • Collaborate with assurance functions and external bodies
  • Oversee financial reporting, governance, risk management, tax compliance, policy development, and process optimisation

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification and CA or CPA designation with substantial experience in multi-faceted financial/statutory accounting in a large/complex organisation. They will also have significant experience in planning and managing statutory audits in large/complex organisations.
