Job Summary

">Investigator Role Overview

This investigator role offers an opportunity to own and manage highly complex investigations, encompassing grievances and whistleblowing activity. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in driving employee relations investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage investigations from initiation through resolution, including analysis of allegations, evidence collection, and debrief meetings.
  • Craft investigative plans, collect relevant documentation, and facilitate investigation meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Interact effectively with individuals involved in the case, ensuring sensitivity and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues, Group Compliance, Group Security, and Legal teams to achieve balanced solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive case files, updating HR systems as necessary.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, proposing corrective actions and internal improvements.
  • Partner with Employee Relations Consultants, Security Investigators, or Compliance Managers for additional support when required.
  • Prepare to present evidence at Employment Tribunals, advocating on behalf of the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in owning and driving complex employee relations investigations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, identify root causes, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Sensitivity in managing emotive situations with credibility and confidence.
  • Strong investigation/problem resolution skills, with commercial awareness and ability to size up complex people/business situations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with resilience in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
