Investigation Opportunities with Consumer Affairs VictoriaAbout the Role

We are seeking skilled investigators to join our team in the Investigation Services Branch (ISB) of Consumer Affairs Victoria, located at 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. As a Lead Investigator, you will have a strong background and experience in leading investigations culminating in early interventions and/or enforcement outcomes.

  • Develop and implement risk-based compliance and enforcement programs, mentoring and leading other investigators across the full spectrum of interventions.
  • Prepare and provide specialist technical advice, especially on large and/or complex compliance and enforcement cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead complex civil and/or criminal investigations.
  • Prepare and support enforcement proceedings in Courts and Tribunals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Law or related fields may be considered.
  • Previous investigative experience is required.
  • Minimum five years previous investigative and compliance/enforcement experience.
