Design Visionary

We're seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to lead innovative design solutions in a fast-paced construction environment.

This role suits someone who thrives on complexity, collaboration, and creativity. You'll work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-value projects across education and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee design teams to ensure alignment with project vision, buildability, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, services, and construction teams for fully integrated design solutions.
  • Lead architectural discussions in client meetings, workshops, and design reviews.
  • Ensure designs meet Australian Standards, BCA, planning requirements, and WHS regulations.
  • Manage design risks and resolve conflicts between design intent, cost, and construction methodology.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, cost planning, and tender submissions.
  • Support innovation and champion modular design excellence.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
About You
  • Strong background in architectural design with 3-5 years of post-graduate experience, preferably in D&C or modular environments.
  • Confidence to lead designs from concept through to construction documentation.
  • Experience with BIM platforms and a keen eye for detail and buildability.
  • Strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia, planning processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, balancing deadlines, and delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • Natural communication skills for leading client presentations, workshops, and design reviews.
  • Strategic mindset contributing to feasibility studies, tenders, and project pitches.
