About the Role

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is pivotal in shaping the financial trajectory of the organization, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and analytical processes. This role demands a strategic mindset paired with robust analytical capabilities to furnish senior leadership with actionable insights and recommendations for informed decision-making. The FP&A Manager will supervise a dedicated team focused on financial planning, performance analysis, reporting, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in orchestrating the annual budgeting cycle, which includes crafting templates, gathering inputs from diverse departments, and synthesizing data.
  • Oversee ongoing forecasts and long-term financial strategies.
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual outcomes with budgeted figures and forecasts, emphasizing critical performance drivers.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to senior management.
  • Evaluate financial performance, focusing on profitability and capital investments.
  • Perform detailed assessments of business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support strategic business decisions by developing financial models, conducting sensitivity analyses, and engaging in scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and business units to ascertain financial requirements and provide insightful financial guidance.
  • Advise on the financial ramifications of strategic initiatives, including new ventures, cost-reduction strategies, and investment opportunities.
  • Serve as a primary contact for financial planning and analysis inquiries within the organization.
  • Continuously enhance financial planning and analysis methodologies, tools, and systems to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Implement best practices in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, offering coaching, guidance, and performance assessments.
  • Promote a collaborative and results-driven team culture.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical, commercial, and financial acumen.
  • Formal qualifications in a relevant field and CA/CPA certification.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a finance-related role within a similar industry; experience in financial services is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting extensive data sets and financial models.
  • High level of commercial insight and commitment to best practices.
  • Strong self-awareness and personal effectiveness.
  • Experience with TM1/Power BI is a plus.
