Role Purpose

As a key member of the Technology Security Team, the Senior Manager of the Cyber Security Operations Centre will spearhead our cyber defense strategies and initiatives. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Security, this position entails overseeing a team of cybersecurity experts to protect our organization's digital assets against emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Direct the Security Operations Team.
  • Contribute to the strategic security roadmap.
  • Serve as a security ambassador, promoting communication and collaboration across various departments.
  • Uphold and exemplify the Auto & General brand and culture, demonstrating high performance, resolving conflicts, and communicating the company vision.

Job-Specific Duties

  • Refine and enhance operational procedures and processes.
  • Manage security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
  • Monitor and address cybersecurity incidents effectively.
  • Develop and coordinate the incident response strategy.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting and security assessments.
  • Execute risk assessments and security audits.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams to bolster cybersecurity posture.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management regarding cybersecurity operations and associated risks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Experience in incident response, threat intelligence, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-building capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a robust work ethic.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
