Are you a skilled handyman looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a School Maintenance Handyman to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

The role will involve working closely with the maintenance manager and reporting to the school facility. You will be required to work flexible hours, Monday to Friday, between 7am and 8am and finish at 3-4pm.

About the Role:

  • Repair and maintain various aspects of the school property, including door handles, door closures, shelving, display boards, locks, painting and decorating, window latches.
  • Repair furniture, coat hooks, curtain rails, and school equipment.
  • Replace tap washers, toilet seats/handles, plugs, and chains to basins.
  • Assist with installation and assembly of temporary walls using hand and power tools.
  • Perform general property maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Undertake general-hand labouring duties.
  • Be comfortable lifting materials up to 20kg.
  • Be willing to learn and adapt to new skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality work.
  • Work efficiently within given timelines.

About You:

  • Experience in the same role or industry is desirable.
  • Carpentry experience preferred but not essential.
  • Hold a valid Victorian Driver's License.
  • Have a Working with Children's Card.
  • Be confident using both hand and power tools.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
