**MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR**
**REPORTS TO **Director of Facilities and Safety
**DIRECT REPORTS **Maintenance Officers
**KEY RELATIONSHIPS **Director of Events and Operations Business Manager

**PURPOSE **To provide support to the Director of Facilities and safety to ensure the School Facilities are maintained and presented to the highest standard
**ENVIRONMENT **This is a full time position with normal hours of 38 per week - the span of hours will be based on operational requirements for the school
**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
Coordinate the Maintenance Team to:
- Perform maintenance of any Lowther Hall facility
- Maintain the facilities to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Liaise with contractors
- Assist with audits of school buildings and equipment
- Maintain all equipment to a high standard
- Assist with the schools programmed Maintenance system
- Provide support to achieve the Essential Safety Measures Annual Report
- Operate machinery and tools in accordance with manufacturer's safety guidelines
- Provide back up for activities with safety risks
- Comply with all school policies including all workplace health and safety instructions /
- guidelines- Provide assistance for set up and pack up of school activities and events
- Carry out duties so as to minimise disruption to school activities
- Complete all necessary written records of planned and cyclical maintenance
- Respond quickly to emergencies
- Provide after-hours support for school events and activities where required
- Attend meetings as required
- Perform other duties as requested
**ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Holds a Driver's Licence, a safe driving record and a valid Working with Children Check- Experience in a trade or hands on experience in conducting basic repairs and maintenance
- with confidence- Effectively complete required school maintenance duties and assigned tasks
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise work load so the tasks are completed effectively, to a high
- standard, safely and in a timely manner- Training, certification and/or experience in various types of equipment typically used in the
- areas of grounds and gardens maintenance or in the maintenance of a public facility or similar- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- safety requirements within the school settings- Adhere to meet preventative maintenance schedules
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of operational requirements
- Assist to ensure all relevant maintenance documentation is accurately completed and kept up
- to date- Assist the Director of Facilities & Safety with minor project works
**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- This position involves after-hours response duties in relation to emergency or urgent
situations. You must be available to perform after-hours works on a call-out basis

- Hold a current drivers licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles

- An understanding of Maintenance systems & scheduling
