Our client based in St Kilda East is currently seeking a full-time permanent School Maintenance Handyman

One of our well known schools based out in St Kilda East are currently looking for a Handyman to join their ever-growing team and help with maintenance at the school This role will be reporting to the maintenance manager within Programmed and the School Facility.

This role will be a permanent full-time role would have flexible start times Mon-Fri between 7am and 8am and finish at 3-4pm.

**About the Role**:

- Repair door handles, door closures, shelving, display boards, locks, basic painting and decorating, window latches.
- Repair of furniture, coat hooks, curtain rails and school equipment.
- Replacement of tap washers, toilet seats/handles, plugs and chains to basins.
- Experience using hand & power tools to assist with installation and assembly of temporary walls
- Undertake basic property maintenance; An ability for repairs is desirable.
- General maintenance of the school property
- General-hand labouring duties
- Comfortably be able to lift materials up to 20kg
- Learning and adapting to new skills
- Collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality work
- Efficiently completing tasks within given timelines

**About you**:

- Experience in the same role/industry
- Experience with Carpentry preferred but not essential
- Valid Victorian Driver's License
- Working with Children's Card
- Confident using both hand & power tools
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Work in both autonomous and in a team environment depending on the duty
