Firbank is seeking a highly capable Maintenance Assistant to ensure that the high standard of appearance, presentation and performance of our schools environment is upkept. We are looking for someone who is motivated and takes pride in the work that that do, blending in seamlessly with our hard working maintenance team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Function and event set ups
- Moving parcels, rubbish and bins
- Follow up on maintenance requests sent by staff
- Repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, vehicles and other tasks
- Regularly clean external walls of all buildings and fences
- Collect rubbish and litter
- Gutter and roof cleaning, windows and painting
- Delivery of post
- Transport equipment where required

- Hands-on worker
- Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
- willingness to perform work and lead by example
- Ability to prioritise in a busy workplace
- Be pro-active
- Adhere to deadlines

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Trade qualifications: Carpentry, Cabinet making or other as appropriate
- Maintenance experience is preferred
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 Doses)
- Current First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain one)

**This is full time Permanent role with an immediate start.
