Culturally Sensitive Healthcare Leader

This leadership role involves overseeing a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who provide culturally sensitive care to vulnerable families in South West Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have postgraduate qualifications in health or social science and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
- Leading a large multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care for Aboriginal children and families.
- Developing partnerships with stakeholders to support access to health services for Aboriginal families.
- Maintaining cultural integrity and strong clinical governance within the service.
The Aboriginal Child and Family Service is dedicated to providing culturally safe and effective care, with a focus on embedding culture in practice and ensuring clinical excellence.
The service operates across the South Western Sydney region, delivering sustained home visiting support to vulnerable families with children aged 0-5.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing complex teams and prioritizing competing demands.
- Establishing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring cultural safety and clinical governance are embedded in all aspects of the service.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Postgraduate qualifications in health or social science or relevant work experience.
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures and histories, and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- A current driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the South Western Sydney region.
