
Culturally Sensitive Birthing Support Specialist

The Aboriginal Health Worker Female (AHWF) position involves providing culturally appropriate support to improve the birthing experiences and outcomes for Aboriginal women. The role requires direct assistance and coordination with healthcare professionals to ensure culturally sensitive care.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care Practice or be willing to attain one. They should also possess knowledge of and affinity with the local Aboriginal community, as well as experience working effectively with Aboriginal women, families, and young children.
Key Responsibilities- Provide culturally appropriate antenatal and postnatal support to Aboriginal women
- Assist healthcare professionals in ensuring culturally sensitive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
