As a High Voltage Technician – Transformer Specialist, you will be part of a team delivering expertise in HV/LV & E&I engineering across various industries. Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning and maintenance testing of HV Power Transformers
  • Construction, Assembly, and repairs to HV Power Transformers, Bushing installation/replacement, leak repairs onsite and in workshop environment
  • Proven experience with application of vacuum and performing Oil filtration/degasification
  • Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports upon completion of works-
  • Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls
  • Primary Testing of HV/LV Transformers (i.e. Tan Delta/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance/Dielectric Response/SFRA, Oil Sampling)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted QLD Electrical Fitter and Mechanics License
  • Minimum 4 years' experience post trade
  • Valid Driver's License
  • HV Switching Ticket preferred
  • Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards
  • Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements
