**About the Role: Theatre Booking Officer**
We are seeking an experienced Administration Clerk to join our Business Office Department as a Theatre Bookings Clerk. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive customer-focused service to surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, staff and secretaries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all bookings and administrative duties related to the Operating Theatres. Key responsibilities include:
- Accurate management in administration of theatre case bookings
- Utilisation of the theatre schedule
- Coordinating all theatre requirements for surgeons' procedural list
- Liaising with specialist doctors' rooms
- Providing administrative support to our theatre complex and team
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience in theatre or hospital bookings is highly desirable.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite
- Previous experience in theatre or hospital bookings (highly desirable)
- Experience using Patient Information Systems (highly desirable)
- Certificate in Medical Terminology (desirable)
- Experience in hospital mainframe systems (desirable)
- Experience with Health Fund checks (desirable)
- A professional phone manner with experience managing incoming and outgoing calls
