Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team on a FIFO basis.

  • This is a key technical role that involves project package delivery on a mining project.
  • The ideal candidate will have over 3 years' post-graduate experience in major project delivery, including greenfield, brownfield, and shutdown works in materials handling and minerals processing.
About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing construction work packs, including technical and quality document review;
  2. Participating in detailed work method statements, identifying risks and opportunities;
  3. Implementing initiatives to improve costs on work packages;
  4. Procurement coordination for contractor-supplied items;
  5. Providing technical input into project schedules and stakeholder engagement;
  6. Estimating variation works and additional scopes;
  7. Contributing to project reporting and claims;
  8. Managing changes during project phases to maintain safety and objectives;
  9. Participating in risk assessments and managing execution risks;
  10. Managing red-line drawings and MDR documentation;
  11. Configuring and managing Completion Management Software (PIMS).
About You:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A qualified Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation installations;
  • Self-motivated with effective time management and prioritization skills;
  • Proactive problem-solving and solution implementation skills;
  • Resourcefulness, positive attitude, and strong work ethic;
  • Understanding of engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, electrical layouts, and shop drawings;
  • Ability to navigate 3D models and related files;
  • Experience with PIMS setup and management or similar systems;
  • Team-oriented with strong relationship-building skills at all levels;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail;
  • A strong safety culture.
