About the role

Are you a technically accomplished geologist who's ready to take your career to the next level by driving strategic outcomes across multiple mining operations? At Evolution Mining, we're looking for a Principal Resource Geologistto join our Group Geology & Resources team, based in either Brisbane or Sydney—whichever suits your lifestyle and career goals.

This is a technical leadership role where your expertise is resource estimation methodology and execution for long term planning and optimal grade control, and geological and grade risk assessment, with a particular focus on enhancing the reliability of long term resourceestimates. You'll work collaboratively with high-performing exploration, site teams, long-term planners, and technical specialists to deliver insights that shape our business strategy and planning.

Your work will be central to enhancing the predictability, quantifying the risk, and value of our Mineral Resource estimates. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement—where your voice and expertise will be heard and respected.

About you

You're a confident and experienced geologist with a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset. You've built your career through site based experience in both open cut and underground gold and/or gold copper operations, and you're now ready to apply your knowledge in a role that offers influence, impact, and growth.

You hold a degree in geology and geostatistics and have developed deep expertise in resource estimation, including advanced techniques like conditional simulation. You're comfortable working with complex resource models and have a solid understanding of ore control systems and reconciliation processes and estimating geometallurgical variables. You're also proficient in industry-standard software such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Snowden Supevisor, Isatis, RMS, and Vulcan. You have executed and reported Mineral Resource estimates and qualify as JORC Competent Person or equivalent.

Your career journey may have started in site-based roles, progressed into senior leadership, and evolved into a strategic role in geology. If your site experience has been complimented by working in corporate or consulting environments, this broad perspective and solutions-focused approach to your work is highly valued.
