About the Role:

VGW is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Legal Advisor to join our Legal team in Sydney. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and manage legal risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, including corporate structuring, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks in business transactions and activities.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance on market expansion, new product launches, and other business development initiatives.
  • Staying informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years post-qualification experience with relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or relevant in-house experience.
  • Admitted as a lawyer to practice in Australia.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of commercial acumen to understand the business' key drivers.
  • Demonstrated adherence to a high standard of professional principles.
