About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our Retail Banking Legal team. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice to CBA's retail bank and play a key role in assisting the bank to introduce customer initiatives and outcomes in a safe and customer-focussed way.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general banking and financial services advice in relation to banking products with a focus on deposit and transaction accounts and distribution channels
- Advise on CBA's industry leading customer recognition and rewards program
- Contractual negotiations with third parties who provide services and benefits to our customers
- Regulatory matters including breach advices and responses to regulator requests, and regulatory change
- Identifying opportunities to simplify relevant frameworks, policies and processes to optimise effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in law and 10+ years relevant post admission / qualification experience
- Excellent technical legal skills including the ability to quickly grasp and resolve issues in complex matters
- Ability to carefully consider, negotiate, and drive to completion complex legal issues
- Capacity to build excellent relationships with a range of stakeholders and the ability to clearly communicate complex issues within short periods of time
