Import Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Import Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

  • Liaising with customers and overseas offices to coordinate import inquiries and shipments is an essential part of this role.
  • Registering import shipments and coordinating import clearance formalities with in-house Customs Brokers requires strong communication skills.
  • Coordinating AQIS inspections and formalities, monitoring progress of customs and quarantine clearance via ICS, and communicating the outcomes to clients is a key responsibility.
  • Coordinating deliveries of customs released freight to destination and de-hiring containers to empty container depots demands high-level planning and organization skills.
  • Completing the billing process, timely and accurate coding of supplier's invoices, and preparing files for handover to Accounts as per contracted agreements requires attention to detail.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar position is required.
  • Knowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminology is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution abilities are necessary.
  • Advanced negotiation and relationship skills, along with high-level customer service skills, are crucial for success.
  • A positive and professional attitude, combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, is required.
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organization skills are necessary for effective task prioritization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment are essential.
  • An excellent working knowledge of Customs ICS and Cyberfreight computer systems is necessary.
  • A current unrestricted drivers' license is required.
