**Your New Role - Import Operator**
A vacancy currently exists within our clients Import department for a vibrant, experienced and driven individual looking to come in and make the role their own.

**Your Key Responsibilities as a Import Operator**
- Process documents efficiently and promptly to ensure they are correct and have been entered into the operations system.
- Liaise with Customs Agents, clients, various transport bodies, and Australian Customs as and when required.
- Responsible for processing import and export documentation.
- Responsible for booking cargo with shipping lines and consolidators.
- To inspect all dangerous goods documentation and cargo, where applicable.
- Take responsibility for documenting Document Change Requests.
- Take responsibility for inspecting all freight received or dispatched to the consignee or shipper.
- Take responsibility for completing a Skills Inventory and for ensuring all training received is recorded.
- To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the import department.
- Prepare arrival notices.
- Pay all charges and check ultimate consignees.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Import Operator experience
- Ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Exceptional time management skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Team oriented, have an eye for detail, willing to learn and see work through to completion.
- Hard working attitude
