Coal Quality Analyst

About the PositionWe are seeking a Casual Laboratory Coal Quality Tester to join our team in the Analytical Laboratory at our Mackay site. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and to agreed standard operating instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring compliance with National and International standards
- Validating results to ensure they are within repeatability tolerances
- Entering validated results into the reporting system
- Maintaining the laboratory and its equipment according to company standards
- Providing recommendations for improving efficiency and accuracy of sample analysis
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Good grasp of computers and technology, including spreadsheets
- Comfortable with manual handling duties
- Ability to work to a flexible roster
- Valid Driver's License
