Coal Quality Analyst

About the PositionWe are seeking a Casual Coal Quality Tester to join our team in Mackay. The successful candidate will work at our Mackay site, Hay Point, and Dalrymple Bay Coal terminal. The position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork, as well as prior experience in a coal testing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to standard operating instructions.
- Verify results to ensure they are within repeatability tolerances.
- Enter validated results into the reporting system.
- Maintain laboratory equipment according to company standards.
- Recommend improvements to efficiency and accuracy of sample analysis.
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Prior experience in a coal testing environment is desirable.
- Good grasp of computers/technology, including spreadsheets.
- Comfortable with manual handling duties.
- Ability to work to a flexible roster and willingness to work 12-hour day, day or night shifts.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Competent within a strong safety culture.
