Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to manage terminal illness and death claims, ensuring timely and empathetic processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of terminal illness and/or death claims from notification through to payment stage, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Be the point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring they have all necessary information and are kept informed of claim progress.
- Guide stakeholders through the process of lodging terminal illness claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is met.
- Maintain queues under case management, ensuring all outstanding work items are managed within service standards.
- Recommend eligibility for terminal illness benefits as per the claims process.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar role (with an administrator, insurer or similar) or in superannuation insurance.
- Previous superannuation experience is highly regarded.
- Empathy when communicating with stakeholders on sensitive matters.
- Strong ability to handle conversations with compassion while maintaining professionalism.
