Claims Care Specialist

This role plays a pivotal part in the insurance and claims space by providing empathetic support to individuals navigating terminal illness and/or death claims.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing terminal illness and/or death claims from notification through to payment stage, ensuring timely and efficient processing while delivering high-quality service aligned with compliance regulations and organisational values.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage terminal illness and/or death claims, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals, providing them with essential information and updates on claim progress, addressing queries and offering clear explanations of claim-related procedures with compassion and professionalism.
- Guide individuals through lodging terminal illness claims, ensuring all documentation and requirements are met.
- Maintain queues under case management, ensuring outstanding work items are managed within service standards.
- Evaluate eligibility of terminal illness benefits as per the claims process.
- Relevant experience in similar claims roles or a related field.
- Previous superannuation experience (highly regarded).
- Empathy when interacting with individuals on the phone.
- Strong ability to handle conversations with compassion and sensitivity while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent written communication skills, able to communicate outcomes in simple language.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
