The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) is a vital resource for adults, children, and young people who have experienced family violence.

About the Role

The Team Leader plays a critical part in ensuring that services delivered by the FVCSS Adult Program are of the highest standard, responsive, effective, and efficient. This involves working closely with other teams within the service to deliver an integrated service system.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery, improve outcomes, and increase efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication among team members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively, ensuring that the service meets its performance indicators and benchmarks.
  • Mentor and support staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge, contributing to their professional growth and development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, and research projects undertaken by the multidisciplinary team as required.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of family violence, including clinical and therapeutic management of clients with complex care needs.
  • Proven experience in management, including contemporary management practices.
  • Highly developed self-management skills, including planning, organisation, and prioritisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, research, and ongoing professional development.

We're looking for someone who shares our values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.
