Family Violence Support Specialist

This is a dynamic role where you will provide holistic support and services to adults affected by family violence.

About the Role:
  • This position requires flexibility with shift work, primarily evening shifts on a casual basis.
  • You will have the autonomy to work independently with on-call support when needed.

Duties include:

  • Providing information, assessment, counseling, referrals, group work, and other appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • You will contribute to program development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to clients.
  • Assess and monitor ongoing risk and safety needs of clients, taking proactive steps to ensure their well-being.
  • Identify and refer clients to relevant services, fostering a collaborative approach to service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An approved allied health professional tertiary qualification or registration with the relevant National Board.
  • A current Working with Children Registration, ensuring you meet the necessary safeguarding requirements.
