The Role :

  • Assist adults in recovering from family violence through information provision, assessment, phase 1 counselling, referrals, and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide information, support, referrals, and advice to clients and service providers.
  • Identify and develop services to meet the needs of adults, children, and young people affected by family violence.
  • Coordinate with other program areas, including Safe at Home providers, to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

  • Knowledge of family violence and its impact on all age groups.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs, applying appropriate intervention models, considering developmental stages.
  • Exercise professional judgment, work under supervision, and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Strong time management skills to handle a busy workload while maintaining high client care standards.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients, carers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility in a complex environment.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, ongoing professional development, and research.
  • Understanding of primary health care principles and the needs of those affected by family violence.

The Team :

Work within a multidisciplinary team providing services to adults and children affected by family violence under the Safe at Home initiative. Offer specialist, evidence-based services through assessments and interventions tailored to client needs.

Details of appointment :

Permanent, part-time position, 60.8 hours per fortnight, start date ASAP. Hours are negotiable.

Note: The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to 12 months.

Salary :

$73,834 to $111,364 per annum (pro-rata) plus 12% superannuation. Salary according to the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.

Allowances :

Salary packaging options available, including living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment benefits up to $2,650 annually, plus other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility :
