Child and Young Person Psychologist

The Department of Health seeks a professional to join the Family Violence Counselling and Support Services - Child and Young Person Program.

This role is responsible for providing specialist psychological services and therapeutic support to children and young people who have experienced family violence trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support to children and young people.
  • Undertake psychological assessments and provide recommendations for interventions.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans and interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Working with Children Registration.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
