Agronomy Sales Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Agronomy Sales Specialist to join our team. As an Agronomy Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert product knowledge on broadacre, sugarcane and pasture agronomy to our existing client base in Grafton and the surrounding area.

You will work closely with our farmers and producers to understand their business goals and provide technical and market information to enable them to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.

Your role will involve building strong relationships with our clients, identifying new sales opportunities and providing superior sales and agronomic input.

You will also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest plant production practices and running and coordinating field days and farmer meetings.

Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding of the sales process and strong sales activity and call cycle management
  • Sound customer service, organisational, administrative and computing skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
