Job Title: Quarry Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced leader to join our team as a Quarry Operations Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of quarry operations personnel and ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

About the Role:

The Quarry Operations Supervisor will play a key role in planning and organizing daily operations, including managing production targets, ensuring quality control, and driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with the Quarry Supervisor to achieve these objectives and ensure that all aspects of the operation run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Championing Safety: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards to help us achieve our goal of ZERO HARM across all operations.
  • Daily Operations Management: Collaborate with the Quarry Supervisor to run day-to-day operations smoothly.
  • Team Coordination: Organize work teams and oversee activities on site for maximum efficiency.
  • Contractor and Employee Management: Assist in managing contractors and team members effectively.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections and ensure mobile and fixed plant maintenance is carried out.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of stock inventory to support operational needs.
  • Driving Continuous Improvement: Promote and initiate activities that foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven Leadership: Experience in leading teams in quarry or mining operations, with a knack for motivating and organizing.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations, crushing and screening processes, and load and haul operations.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organisational Mastery: Excellent planning abilities to drive results while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Initiative to identify, manage, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Mentorship Skills: Strong people management skills to support compliance and foster a culture of HSE and Quality.
