Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Transformation Risk Manager to join our team at Westpac Group. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for leading risk outcomes for our Divisional Transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead risk outcomes for the Divisional Transformation program, ensuring delivery and delivered risks are managed within appropriate controls and within Divisional and Group risk appetite.
  • Provide one-line defense review and endorsement on project documents, adhering to the Transformation delivery Standard and the Delivery Excellence Framework.
  • Drive risk-in-change outcomes, including simplification of the risk and control matrix process, optimizing project resources and capacity, and ensuring critical decision and sign-off points.
  • Ensure the transformation program risk management practices align with the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group and Division.
  • Ensure controls are designed adequately to mitigate delivery and delivered risks, including control simplification and automation.
  • Provide advice and input into Risk In Change Governance and Reporting to Group and Divisional Governance Forums.
  • Oversee the transition from project to BAU to ensure risks and controls are embedded.
  • Educate and uplift risk-in-change capability and risk practices within Project teams.

Requirements

  • Extensive risk management experience (10 years+)
  • Strong project management and risk and controls background
  • Demonstrated experience in completing, reviewing, and challenging Risk & Control Matrices and working with end-to-end Value Chains
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills to drive risk outcomes
