Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Manager to join our Operational Risk Team for Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) as a 2nd Line Operational Risk Executive Manager, specialising in Global Transactional Services (GTS) and WIB Digital Transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line risk oversight and advice over the digital and data business activities in Westpac One Core and Westpac One Programs to ensure the appropriate risk identification, documentation, and management of risks by the business.
  • Lead thematic analysis across risks, providing specialist guidance from these reviews.
  • Provide the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings, or changes in inherent risk environment.
  • Challenge and oversight business transformation initiatives, whether product or project driven, to ensure the risks delivered through change are adequately controlled.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of operational risk in change advisory experience in any WIB business, or in another financial services organisation; or
  • 9+ years of operational risk experience with Investment Banking exposure from another financial institution.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of investment banking activity and associated processes.
  • Demonstrable experience of influencing senior business leadership teams, strategic thinking, and prioritisation.
  • Relevant industry qualifications.
