The Commonwealth Bank of Australia's Retail Banking Services (RBS) Everyday Banking (EDB) team is a unique opportunity to drive the Group's strategy in enabling a more sustainable future. As a Lead Data Science and AI Strategist, you will work closely with EDB crew leads to deliver world-class data science/AI capabilities across RBS EDB and the Group.

This role plays a crucial part in helping the Group achieve its priorities by focusing on customer engagement and growth through delivering brilliant service and technology modernisation.

  • Are skilled in defining and owning capability uplift roadmaps to drive excellence and innovation in data science and decision science.
  • Have experience building and leading high-performing teams through knowledge sharing, connection, and community culture.
  • Are technical experts to lead their teams and develop best solutions for AI offerings.
  • Can prioritise and be pragmatic in guiding teams and stakeholders on using skills to find solutions that bring better value to customers and the business.
  • Can leverage metrics and data to inform continuous improvement, driving teams forward with industry-leading practices.
  • Prioritise Business Outcomes and make informed decisions that support business goals.

Tech Skills

We utilise a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience with leadership attributes such as people management, building relationships, strong business acumen, exceptional statistical, analytical, and data science knowledge, and knowledge of Generative AI solutions is highly desirable.
