About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of effective injury prevention, claims management and injury management processes. This will involve collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures and strategies that minimize operational impact, reduce costs and continually improve health and safety results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, ensuring development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of business objectives.
  • Develop and implement simple, relevant and effective injury and claims management policies, procedures and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets and timeframes for implementation.
  • Provide practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.
  • Develop and implement any health and wellbeing initiatives or strategies to ensure best practices are in place.
  • Coordinate and compile safety reporting and presentations including quarterly strategy tracking and leadership meetings.
  • Effectively facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations and claim costs are minimized.
