Warehouse Site Manager Role

The Warehouse Site Manager role is accountable for overseeing all site and supply chain activities with a strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and maintain a positive safety culture across all on-site activities, including regular reporting on safety compliance.
  2. Develop and lead a high-performing team through proactive management, mentoring, and regular performance feedback.
  3. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop strategic initiatives that maximize site efficiencies while balancing safety and customer service.
  4. Proactively manage staff requirements, including coaching and development, to optimize labor utilization.
  5. Maximize equipment allocation and utilization between activities.
  6. Assist in developing operational and capital plans (5-year framework).
  7. Be responsible for the financial performance of the site, including understanding budget variances.
  8. Contribute to site production forecasting and business planning.
  9. Oversee the maintenance of fixed and mobile machinery within the site, including a preventative maintenance program.
Requirements:
  • Industry-recognized grain sampling and inspection course.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to proactively improve processes and optimize resources.
  • Department of Agriculture Accreditation.
  • Grain Storage and Handling and/or Warehouse operation experience.
  • Adequate understanding of chain of responsibility obligations.
  • Risk identification accreditation.
  • Manage a team of 5+ as well as a high number of casual seasonal employees.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
