About the Role

We are seeking two professional librarians to join our team at Hornsby Shire Council.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality information and customer services, supervising library staff, maintaining collections and facilities, and supporting library services and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and provide information to the community.
  • Supervise and train library staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage and maintain library collections and facilities to meet community needs.
  • Support the development and implementation of library services and programs.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Hornsby Shire Council's strategic objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree in Information Science or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Double vaccination against COVID-19.
