Park Maintenance Team Member

Hornsby Shire Council is seeking a skilled Park Maintenance Team Member to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining parks and oval surrounds, including using ride on and push grasscutting units, whipper snippers, hand blowers and linemarking equipment.
The role requires good interpersonal skills, physical fitness, and the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines. A high standard of service is required to take appropriate action in response to a variety of demands.
Additional responsibilities include cleaning amenities and vegetation maintenance within the crew's area. Good listening and communication skills are essential to ensure directions and instructions are carried out safely, promptly and accurately.
A current Class C Driver licence is essential, and a current MR Licence would be desirable. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a small team and have good time management skills.
This is a permanent full-time position with an estimated salary range of $2130.62 to $2355.02 per fortnight, plus superannuation and an RDO per fortnight. Appointed salary will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.
