Expert Stomal Therapist

**Job Description:**
Deliver high-quality nursing services in a variety of healthcare settings, specializing in stomal therapy and complex wound care. Assess client needs, plan and implement care plans, support community and acute nursing staff, and coordinate service delivery to ensure patients and carers receive the appropriate care and support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess client needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide specialized wound care services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Support community and acute nursing staff in delivering stomal therapy and complex wound care services
- Coordinate service delivery to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or working towards in stoma therapy nursing or equivalent
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience with stomal therapy
- Experience in leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice
