About the Role
Job Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 2)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide expert clinical leadership and consultation in the assessment, management, and education of patients with ostomies, continence issues and the management of trial of void strategies.
This role involves leading, operationalising and managing Stomal therapy and Continence referrals. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. They will also educate and train healthcare professionals and patients on best practices in ostomy care, continence management, and skin integrity.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of clinical knowledge and judgement, ensuring superior delivery of holistic care to inpatients. They will manage the nurse-led Stomal Therapy Outpatient Clinic and Trial of Void Clinic. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and research projects related to Trial of Void protocols and continence and ostomy care.
About You
You must be currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the relevant health regulatory agency.
You should have at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and approved post-registration nursing qualifications relevant to Stomal Therapy /Continence Nursing or such other qualifications deemed appropriate.
