Rail Safety Administration and Reporting Expert

This pivotal role supports the project's rail safety management systems, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and providing timely reporting to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Rail Safety Team as required, including word processing, presentation preparation, spreadsheets, meeting and workshop management, and schedules.
  • Leading weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements for Rail Safety and meeting ONRSR reporting obligations.
  • Conducting research on subjects, technologies, practices, and procedures as directed.
  • Coordinating meetings and/or conferences, including venue bookings, arranging attendees and equipment, agenda and/or minute preparation, travel/accommodation arrangements.
  • Project support for training requirements.
  • Conducting data analysis to monitor, assess, and report on trends that will form part of reporting obligations.
  • Communicating effectively with management, staff, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience in an administrative, reporting, or compliance role, with rail or transport industry experience highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
