We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team at GFG Alliance. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a critical role in processing the fortnightly payroll in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll transactions accurately and on time
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Analyze and process timesheets for multiple locations
  • Understand taxation of employer-paid benefits and PAYG
  • Manage new starters and terminations
  • Generate fortnightly and monthly financial reporting
  • Leave Processing/Deductions/Allowances/Bonus/Choice of Super
Requirements
  • Previous experience in payroll processing
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and ability to interpret EBAs
  • Proficiency with SAP preferred, not essential
  • Intermediate experience in Excel and ability to generate financial reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
  • High level of professionalism, dealing with sensitive, confidential documents and personal information
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to uphold compliance standards
