Job Summary

The Payroll Project Lead is a senior role responsible for managing and coordinating the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex payroll projects. This includes serving as the subject matter expert for all payroll project-related inquiries, ensuring payroll services meet established deadlines and standards, and leading the delivery of the payroll system. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project team to manage transition periods and provide support to Senior Payroll Specialist and Payroll Manager during peak periods and absences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all payroll project-related inquiries
  • Ensure payroll services meet established deadlines and standards
  • Lead the delivery of the payroll system, and work closely with the Project team to manage transition periods
  • Provide support to Senior Payroll Specialist and Payroll Manager during peak periods and absences

Requirements
  • Solid experience with payroll software, including i-Chris, and payroll system technology
  • Skilled in developing complex payroll reports and metrics with intermediate to advanced Excel abilities
  • Analytical thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Customer-oriented approach with strong attention to detail
  • Over 5 years of payroll management experience, with a strong focus on service and accuracy
