Family Violence Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to join our team as a Family Violence Specialist.
This is a permanent part-time role working 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) at a leading organization in the sector.
The successful applicant will be working within SCHADS Level 6, providing specialist support to individuals and families affected by family violence.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk evaluations to identify the needs of clients.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans to address the complex needs of clients.
- Provide crisis response, support, and referrals to clients, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge, best practices, and resources.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and expertise.
- You hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- You have demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- You possess knowledge and understanding of the diverse range of referral and support options available to women and children who have experienced family violence.
- You have demonstrated knowledge of the Best Interest Principles and the ability to undertake Best Interest Assessments of children.
- You understand cultural safety requirements and can develop cultural safety action plans with clients when required.
- You must meet the minimum mandatory qualifications under Recommendation 209.
- You must demonstrate that you are exempt under the policy, hold a Bachelor of Social Work or other equivalent qualification, have minimum 5 years relevant professional experience, or hold significant cultural knowledge and experience or lived experience.
