This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria, as a key member of the Enforcement and Support Services branch. With a high-performing team, you will have the chance to contribute your administrative expertise to provide support and advice on the administration and enforcement of infringement and court fines across the state.

About the Role: As a Review Officer, you will work within Enforcement and Support Services, providing professional judgment regarding the application of Standards of Service and other relevant rules, policies, and guidelines. Your duties will include exercising professional judgement in the day-to-day operations of Fines Victoria, determining payment arrangements, and handling general enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Operations Team Lead to ensure the successful administration of the Fines Reform Act 2014
  • Exercising professional judgement regarding the application of Standards of Service and other relevant rules, policies, and guidelines
  • Providing accurate and timely advice and liaising with other Fines Victoria units, enforcement agencies, and other interested parties on infringement and other matters arising within the jurisdiction of Fines Victoria

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an understanding of the infringement lifecycle, the Infringements Act 2006, and the Fines Reform Act 2014, or experience in the practical application of other legislation or policies. You should also be competent in Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems and applications.

Salary and Benefits: This is a VPS Grade 3 position, offering a salary range of $76,817 - $93,275 plus superannuation. The role is fixed-term, full-time, and based in Victoria, Australia.
