Support Worker Role:

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team in empowering individuals with disabilities.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of others. As a support worker, you will provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Support with household chores, laundry, and cleaning
  • Observe and report any changes in physical or mental health
  • Provide first aid and respond to medical emergencies if they arise
  • Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Support individuals in exercising their rights and accessing services and resources
  • Help develop life skills, such as cooking, budgeting, and using public transportation
  • Motivate and encourage individuals to achieve their personal goals and maintain independence
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities and incidents
  • Document and report any concerns or changes in the individual's condition
  • Adhere to relevant legislation and policies, including those related to disability services and personal privacy
  • Communicate effectively with individuals to understand their needs and preferences

You'll Need:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
  • Flexibility and adaptability to varying hours and individual needs
  • Fast learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Relevant training and qualifications, such as NDIS online modules and WWCC
